LAKEWOOD -- Thirteen-year-old Littleton residents Jennifer Kempton and Ethan Freeman captured top honors in the inaugural Colorado Junior Golf Association 11-13 Junior Series Championship held at the Homestead at Fox Hollow.
Kempton, an eighth grader at Euclid Middle School, shot a 2-under-par 63 to win the girls competition. Freeman, an eighth grader at Kent Denver, fired a 4-under 61 to claim the boys title.
The CJGA Junior Series Championship was created as a season ending event where the top 20 boys and top 10 girls off of the CJGA Points List compete for the title of the best player in the CJGA.
