LITTLETON -- Kory Harrell of Colorado Springs fended off Branden Barron of Aurora to claim the Colorado Golf Association Junior Stroke Play Championship at Raccoon Creek Golf Course on Wednesday.

Harrell overcame a four-shot deficit in the final round, and withstood three straight birdies -- on Nos. 15-17 -- by runnerup Barron, who closed with a 75 to finish a stroke back.

Barron grabbed a one-stroke lead when he holed a bunker shot on the par-3 17th, while Harrell posted a bogey after two straight birdies.

DENVER -- Brian Dorfman of Greenwood Village defeated Clark Shafer of Castle Rock 2 and 1 Friday in the 36-hole final match to win the Colorado Golf Association’s Junior Match Play Championship at Bear Creek Golf Club.
